COST Endorsed Candidate
Candidate for Owen Sound City Council
Owen Sound has tremendous potential. I'm running for Council because I believe our city needs stronger action on important issues, better communication and practical solutions that put residents first.
I will listen to residents, research the issues, ask difficult questions and work with others to find solutions. My goal is a safer, more affordable and more prosperous Owen Sound with a City Hall that is open and accountable.

These are the areas where I believe Council should focus its attention and work with residents, businesses and community partners to make progress.
Work toward safer neighbourhoods, parks, downtown streets and public spaces for residents, families, businesses and visitors.
Support a coordinated response involving shelter, treatment, mental-health services, food programs, community organizations and all levels of government.
Promote Owen Sound as a place to do business, attract new employers and investment, and support the local businesses that already contribute to our community.
Work with health-care partners and other levels of government to help attract more family doctors and medical professionals to Owen Sound.
Ask tough questions about municipal spending, look for efficiencies and ensure taxpayers receive value for their money before supporting additional costs.
Examine practical ways to improve services—including options for garbage and yard-waste collection—and assess how services are delivered and funded.
Residents deserve clear explanations of decisions and spending. I support town halls, community meetings, online Q&As and more opportunities to speak directly with elected representatives.
Support development that expands the tax base, creates jobs, strengthens services and helps Owen Sound move forward responsibly.
Many challenges extend beyond City Hall. I will work with community groups, businesses, neighbouring municipalities, Grey County and provincial and federal partners to pursue practical solutions.
My goal is to help build an Owen Sound that is safer, more affordable and better positioned for the future.
I'm here to listen, ready to work and prepared to ask the tough questions. I believe residents deserve
a meaningful voice in municipal decisions and a clear account of how
every one of their tax dollars are used.
